I just setup wireless at my client's home, I like using the Linksys WRT54G router. This is a stable router that is well supported and flexible. This model has been on the market for a while with numerous version updates. Many 3rd party appliences such as Xbox'es support it. One thing about it is that you can install a hacked firmware that gives you many more functions as a very expensive corporate router would. I added extra long 3rd party antennas so that my client has signal on all 3 floors. Tested signal with laptop, added security, all is good! Now ready to go to my next client :)
