Mac with corrupt External Hard Drive.

So my mac's hard drive became corrupt, it still mounts and I can still see some of the stuff on it, but it doesn't let my back all of it up. Disk Utility fails at repairing it. It does not look like a hardware issue, but a file system issue.

DSLR Cameras

I'm helping my sister buy an SLR camera, a couple things.. It needs to be compatible with Minolta Lenses. Sony has purchased Minolta, so it looks like the Sony A33 is a nice choice, its much faster then the A290 for only $99 more, so in her price range, this is the one.

Important thing about DSLR cameras, it cost a lot to switch over to another brand, so buy a brand you can stick with. I use Nikon and am Happy with their products, I also like Canon and Sony. All are great brands to use, they all have their pluses and minuses. Canons have super fast auto focus, Nikons have excellent low light capabilities, Sonys are packed with high specs and features for a low price.

Also a tip, first lens you should buy is a 50mm F1.8 or F1.8 all brands have this one, great for photo class and learning with your camera. Also great in low light.

Cleaning up the web server.

Yes, Its a good idea to open up and vacume your computers, specially when they are on all the time. Dust collects on the fans and other components causing the fans to fail and the computer to overheat and crash.

Dell inspiron desktop is generating pop-ups in Internet explorer.

This Dell is loaded with four viruses one was in the restore portion of the computer. I can restore it just to a another day before I had to remove the restore allocated space then remove the virus that way there were 3 other viruses that were on the computer as well that had to be removed. Virus removal was done was Microsoft security essentials. Norton did not see the viruses. I have installed Firefox as the main browser and removed most of the add-ons in Internet Explorer. Thesecond step up for this computer is going to be too upgraded to Windows Vista 64-bit.
